About AHRD
At Alternative HRD we’ve been helping organizations develop their workforce since 1992, but our roots go back even further. My name is Dan Oakland, and when I founded this business, I had several years of human resource, management and business consulting experience.
My primary interest was to provide HR services to small businesses and organizations who were not large enough to cost-justify a full-time HR professional. Since the vast majority of business falls into that category, our market is large and our business has grown.
Our clients include retail and wholesale businesses, manufacturing and sales organizations, professional, financial and healthcare services, non-profits, as well as municipal governments and state agencies.
We offer 3 primary service centers: - Assessments – to help you evaluate individuals you’re considering hiring or promoting, and to help you assess departments and organizations that you are managing and leading.
- Development – we provide training in Supervision and Leadership, and help you identify and follow-through on developing your people with whatever skills, knowledge and abilities they need.
- Human Resource Management – we can either help you with specific HR projects as the need arises, or we can actually become your HR department, providing on-going contact with and service to your employees.
